In this video I’m testing two new hyped budget sets: the KEFINE KLEAN SV and the Kiwi Ears Cadenza 2, plus a bonus IEM at the end. For the KLEAN SV, I break down the three nozzle options (black/silver/gold) because they’re not just “minor” tweaks. Black is my favorite: balanced but slightly colored, punchy and textured bass (more mid-bass glide, great for rock), and a slightly airy treble that keeps things vibrant without turning into an aggressive V-shape. Silver pushes vocals forward without getting too thin, and gold is the most vocal/air focused—but it can get shouty on energetic K-pop/J-pop/EDM because the low end doesn’t cushion the extra upper-mids/air. Technically, the KLEAN SV is a legit upgrade over the OG KLEAN: cleaner, more resolving, sharper imaging, and more air/micro-detail, even if it doesn’t scale as well and can show a 15k zing on bright tracks. I also compare it to the 7Hz Elua Ultra, Simgot EW200, and Tanchjim 4U—spoiler: SV is basically an EW200 “but better” and a more musical/airier 4U for less money. Then I get into the Cadenza 2: neutral, clear, monitor-ish, more analytical than the OG Cadenza—but the narrow 15k peak can be jarring because the low end and vocals sit further back. My take: it’s interesting technically, but I’d wait for a sale. Bonus: the SIVGA SM100 is shouty stock, but with a quick 300-mesh + Tri Clarion tips mod, it becomes my go-to vocal set under $100 if you’re willing to do a 5-minute tweak.
