In this video I break down the “7 Levels of Audio” the way it actually happens to normal people: you start as the Average Joe (ignorance is bliss, you just want your songs), then you get curious because some influencer cooked your AirPods, and boom—you’re in the honeymoon phase buying a random KZ and thinking “more drivers = better.” From there you turn into the Budding Audiophile learning words like imaging, dynamics, transient, and soundstage, and you start buying “approved” starter gear because the community said so (for me it was the HD600). Then it gets spicy. Level 4 is the hardcore mad-scientist arc: A/B testing everything, reading FR graphs, trying DAC/amps, cables, and chasing “technicalities” while being broke and having severe FOMO. Level 5 is where you finally “hit endgame”… and immediately discover diminishing returns and preference, aka the broke-and-sad phase where a cheaper set might hit harder than your expensive one. Level 6 is the black-pilled objectivist doomer phase: measurements are king, you EQ everything, you think the hobby is a consumerist loop, and you realize nothing will ever perfectly match real life. Level 7 is enlightenment: touch grass. Audio is there to enrich your life, not replace it—so you keep the knowledge, keep a favorite set, and go make memories.
