In this speedrun ranking, I run through a stack of new IEMs and give the no-BS take on what’s actually worth your money. I start with the Aful Performer 8S… and yeah, I’m officially blacklisted/shadowbanned by Aful and HiFiGo because I pointed out too many flaws. Sound-wise the P8S is basically a Performer 8 with a sub-bass boost: very neutral, slightly laidback vocals, and that familiar Aful treble “bite.” Tech is competitive (around Dusk level), but the tuning has a real scaling problem: too dead at lower volumes, and too sharp/metallic if you crank it. Then I cover the sets that actually make more sense. Letshuoer Ember is the direct Explorer upgrade: musical, airy, immersive, and you can push volume without the treble stabbing you—still overpriced at $500 for a single planar, so I’d wait for a sale. EPZ P40 is basically a smoother, slightly more detailed EM6L-style bright Harman set that EQs well, but it can get fatiguing and lacks slam. The Binary EP321 is the standout value around $300: natural timbre, airy treble, better tech than P8S, and a legit clean all-rounder (just don’t expect huge sub-bass rumble). I also hit Intuaura Impact vs TinHiFi T6 (EW300-ish, with Impact being warmer/smoother), Tanchjim Soda (nice package but outcompeted by cheaper siblings and EP321), and Yanyin Baker (fuller, warmer Arcanis vibe with some treble peakiness—wait for sales).
