In this video, I walk you through how I built my task management system by syncing Todoist with Obsidian using the Todoist Sync plugin. The goal is simple: keep Todoist as the reliable task engine, but do the thinking, planning, and review inside Obsidian—where my notes and projects already live. I start by setting up Todoist the right way, then I show you how to connect the plugin so your tasks can flow between both apps without friction. From there, I show you how I actually use it day-to-day: viewing tasks inside Obsidian with queries, creating new tasks directly from my notes, and pulling up focused views like “today,” “this week,” and even project-specific task lists. The big takeaway is that you don’t need a complicated system—you need a system that reduces context switching. When tasks live next to your project notes, your learning notes, and your planning pages, it’s way easier to do deep work and stay intentional with your digital life.
