About This Video

This Shanghai vlog is basically my 4-day “eat, walk, shop, repeat” itinerary, plus a proper hotel room tour because we stayed at the Shanghai Edition (and it seriously did not disappoint). The service was super super top top notch—like they noticed I was wearing aligners and even gave me an Invisalign cleaner. The room was huge and cozy, and the highlight for me was the view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. I also showed the lobby vibes, and why I genuinely felt like I could just stay in the hotel the whole day. Food-wise, I went all out: hotpot (so good and surprisingly affordable), Yu Garden + Yuyuan Bazaar wandering (so many little shops and snacks), and a Michelin meal where we pre-booked dishes through WeChat. On our last night, we splurged at a Michelin Peking duck spot—worth it, but the queue was intense (we waited 180 minutes). I also café-hopped, tried an “alcohol coffee” that was about 100 RMB, and did a full shopping day—my happiest buy was my first-ever Jellycat dragon (I named him Snow). If you’re heading to China for the first time, I also shared the exact apps I used for maps, queues, transport, and payment so you don’t need to carry cash at all.
