Well, well, well—welcome back to the vlog. After being MIA for about a month because work got really hectic, I’m finally back because it’s December and everything in Singapore is just so festive. In this weekend vlog, I bring you along for my Christmas-in-SG plans, plus a little life update and a mini milestone moment because I’m hoping to hit 18K subs soon. Also, leave me your burning questions because I’m planning a chatty Q&A in the next few vlogs. I start the weekend with my Christmas birthday buffet at Colony (I’ve been thinking about it ever since I got to walk around and see the spread). Later, it’s birthday celebration part two—drinks and dinner with my partner, where we try things like prawn squid ink risotto, crab toast, rupa taco, and oysters. Then we go full festive mode: Christmas pie, a Christmas menu, and I share my little tip that weekdays are better if you want the normal buffet experience (instead of the Champagne Sunday situation). To top it off, we RSVP for a free Cartier Christmas event at Dempsey—super cute, super festive—where we make cookies and immediately eat them because we’re too lazy to carry them around. The cookies were dense, very sugary, and the lemon-and-rosemary one honestly reminded me of those cones in Europe. Ending the day with dinner plans with Jay—simple, cozy, and very Singapore weekend vibes.
