About This Video

Hi guys, welcome to my SG-to-Shanghai trip vlog. I flew in on a red-eye with China Eastern (first time!), and honestly it was okay for the price—planes were relatively new and the seats were fine, but the food wasn’t great and they served it at a super odd timing around 2am. Biggest tip: don’t sit right in front of the emergency exit row (we were row 41, exit was 42) because you can’t recline at all… I suffered the whole flight while everyone else knocked out. Once we landed, we basically went straight into exploring and eating. I stayed around Nanjing Road so it was super convenient, then we headed out for cafes, shopping, and the whole Shanghai coffee scene (it’s really good). I did a mini “what I bought in Shanghai” haul too—Le Labo city scent season, a perfume de Marly purchase (plus free tote and minis), and my biggest “commemorate the trip” buy: Maison Margiela Tabby flats (yes it’s an acquired taste, but I love it). Day 3 was all about food and Wukang vibes: Michelin-guide crab roe noodles near the Bund, Brandy Melville shopping (so much cheaper than SG), and ending with my beloved Ah Ma Shou Zhou—get the taro + potato, trust me.
