In this vlog, I tested the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses for a full work day in Singapore so you can see a real POV “day in my life” from my eye level. I started super early (almost 7am) and played around with the voice assistant—asking “Hey Meta” about the weather in Singapore, and even getting it to comment on what I was holding (it literally told me I can wear the white tee in front of me). I also made my own strawberry matcha latte at home because matcha outside is honestly expensive, and I’m trying to save money by DIY-ing it. As I headed into the CBD, I recorded my morning commute and breakfast (I grabbed a $2.20 tuna sandwich) and shared my honest first impressions. The biggest plus for me is how seamless and discreet filming feels—people don’t really know you’re recording, so it’s way less awkward than holding a phone. But there are downsides: it records in portrait (better for short-form), and I realised my hair can block the camera so some clips became unusable. Audio-wise though, the mic is really crisp, and overall it’s a pretty fun wearable camera if you’re okay with the limitations.
