About This Video

In this vlog, I took a full day of leave to do a weekday day trip from Singapore to Johor Bahru by bus (Woodlands side), just to see how JB feels like after not going for almost close to 2 years. I timed the journey and honestly, customs felt surprisingly fast because there are more e-gates now—so the “go in” part was smooth. The main plan was super simple and very us: eat, do nails, try to squeeze in a massage, and end with dessert. Before heading out, I also brought you along my real get-ready routine (the exact base products I’ve been using lately) and even a whole mini matcha segment—because that’s literally my daily life. I shared the matcha powders in my collection, which ones taste more grassy vs more fragrant/umami, and how I make my own strawberry matcha latte (my measurement is not to scale, I just do it based on how I like it). Once in JB, we did our nails (my friend did hand + feet, I did feet), had a super late lunch at Mimi’s, then walked to try our luck at a massage place (and yes… we had a “no cash” moment and had to hope they accept Singapore dollars). The big takeaway: weekday JB is still very doable for a quick reset, but the queue can still be real—so try to go earlier and don’t assume you’ll have everything planned perfectly.
