If you’ve been keeping up with my journaling and planning videos, you know I’ve accumulated quite a few “supplies and essentials” that make journaling feel like a fuller experience for me. In this hangout, I’m finally doing the overdue walkthrough of everything I keep in my Soolla journal tote—aka the smart and chic way I store my tools in one place and bop around the house (or to a cafe) with easy grab-and-go access. The bag has a wide, non-zippered opening, which I actually love for capacity and convenience, and I’ll show you how I use the outside pockets without making it feel bulky. Inside, I’m breaking down my whole system: my Ralco pencil case that stands up and holds a ridiculous amount of pens (EnerGel 0.7s, Mildliners, dot markers, and my gold/silver Signo accents), plus my Soolla pouch for the non-writing essentials—tweezers, tiny Fiskars scissors, a sticker release book, rulers, and little extras that make the process smoother. I also share my printing setup (Canon Selphy for true-to-color memory keeping, and my older Canon Ivy zinc printer for portability), my glue lineup (including the ZIG two-way glue that saves weak washi), fountain pen rotation, sticker album organization, sticky notes/flags, washi storage, stamp inks, and my Tombow marker pouch. The takeaway: you only need paper and pen, but having your favorites organized in one tote makes it so much easier to journal more often—and more intentionally.
