Welcome back friends—this is my very first Christmas decorating video for 2025, and of course I’m starting right here in my kitchen at my little counter coffee station. We don’t have space for a full coffee bar, so I keep it simple and functional for just my husband and I… as long as he has the essentials, I can decorate it any way I want. This year I really wanted to slow the season down and make this corner feel cozy and inviting, and I finally found my inspiration when I pulled out a special gift from my daughter: a nutcracker chalkboard easel. I’m building the whole look around that Nutcracker theme—something that’s extra meaningful to our family because of our long-running Nutcracker weekend tradition. From there, I layer in what I already own: a marble and gold riser, a marble tray, and a few simple swaps like using a crystal tealight holder in place of my sugar bowl. Then I add the festive touches that make it feel like Christmas without going overboard—greenery, picks, pinecones, and my favorite “instant Christmas” tip: sugarcoated berries. I also test a woven charger for texture (and I truly want your opinion on that one!) and finish by pulling down all my Christmas mugs to complete the station.
