About This Video

In this video I’m giving my kitchen a simple spring refresh because I am officially over winter and I’m itching to bring some life, color, and brightness back into my home. I’m not revamping everything (my coffee bar mostly stays the same), but I’m making a handful of intentional swaps that feel fresh without feeling fussy. I share the items I’m pulling in—like an older pot from Michaels, dish towels I’ve had for years, a few florals, and even my first try at a small plate wall beside my wine rack. I also talk you through my mindset with seasonal decorating: I’m trying to be more intentional and invest in nicer quality pieces when I do buy something—like the beautiful riser I found at HomeSense for $12.99. I keep my table centerpiece airy and whimsical with willow branches and cosmos, and I show you how I style our everyday counter spot where my husband and I eat breakfast and lunch together. And I’m also honest about the trial-and-error part—those new placemats were so pretty in the store, but in my space they felt too busy, so I returned them and went back to my tried-and-true basics that feel more “me.”
