In this video I review the Soundpeats Pearl Clip Pro, which is an open-ear TWS that honestly doubles as a fashion accessory. The first thing I cover is the physical overview: the case is very small, there’s a pairing button (it’s not a grill), USB-C charging, and the earbuds themselves look like an earring. When I wore them outside, people genuinely asked me what they were because they don’t look like a typical TWS, and that’s kind of the whole charm here. I also talk about a really convenient feature: because the buds look symmetrical, you can put them in the case in any orientation and they’ll automatically switch left/right after you close the case. Battery-wise, Soundpeats claims 6 hours (24 with the case), and in my testing on AAC around 50% volume I got about 5 hours 20 minutes, and roughly 20–21 hours total with the case. Then I go into the app and sound. The Soundpeats app is decent and has Adaptive EQ, control customization, and firmware updates, but I still don’t like that it requires login and won’t open without an internet connection. Sound-wise, don’t expect in-ear levels, but the bass is surprisingly strong for open-ear—fit is everything, and Adaptive EQ helps tighten the bass and smooth out a weird 5–6 kHz peak while improving treble. I end with a mic test: it’s good in quiet environments, but can clip a bit in noisy places.
