In this video I review the Divinus Velvet eartips in two versions: the Standard (left) and the Velvet Wide Bore/“white bore” version (right). Big thanks to HiFiGo for sending the unit, but all the thoughts here are my own. I talk about the design trick Divinus is using—similar to Radius Deep Mount style—where the thickness is more in the middle, so you don’t need to insert super deep to get a proper seal. The silicone is very soft, doesn’t catch dust as much as many other tips, and it’s easy to wipe clean, so it stays relatively clean over time. Sound-wise, the Standard doesn’t always change things a lot, but it can vary depending on the IEM and your ear anatomy. On my Truthear Nova I noticed some bass reduction and a slightly brighter tilt, while on the 7Hz Salnotes Zero:2 (Cadenza mentioned in the video) I heard more bass and slightly tamed upper mids. The Wide Bore is my favorite: the fit was top notch across basically every IEM I tried, and it consistently improved soundstage. I also heard a bit more upper mids/treble and sometimes tighter bass, without making bright sets uncomfortable (like the Simgot EA500LM). At around $25, I genuinely think it can be more worth it than spending on an IEM cable—especially if you want a more spacious stage.
