It’s not the “best mouse on the planet,” but at a very mid-range price (around 40 bucks for some versions) it performs well across the board, and Logitech has basically nailed a design that most people like. I go over the history from the original 2014 release, why the overall shape and footprint have barely changed, and how Logitech keeps making small tweaks to match trends—like going wireless with the G502 Lightspeed and shaving a few grams over time. For the hands-on portion, I’m specifically using my G502 Proteus Spectrum, but the big takeaway applies to the whole lineup: the ergonomic shape genuinely cradles my hand better than most mice I’ve tried.
