About This Video

This is my all-black PHANTOM gaming PC, and in this video I’m basically showing it off and breaking down why I call it a true mid-range build. I’m running an RTX 3060 Ti paired with a Ryzen 5 5600X on an MSI B550 Gaming Plus, and the whole point here is balance: mid-range price and mid-range performance that still feels awesome to use. At the time I bought these parts (summer), the 5600X was on sale for under $200, and for my budget it just made sense. For real-world gaming, this combo lets me play pretty much anything at 1440p on high settings, and that’s exactly what I’m after. I’m not chasing insane benchmark numbers—I’m looking for smooth gameplay around the 100 FPS mark in the non-competitive stuff I play, and for competitive titles like Valorant, CS:GO, and Apex, I’ll drop settings/resolution to max out frame rate and keep latency down. A big part of the vibe is the case and the look: the Antec P120 Crystal with black extension cables, minimal RGB, and a clean layout. Functionally it’s solid too—PSU up top helps airflow, my GPU sits around 60°C in games, and my CPU is about 60–65°C with the EK 240mm AIO. If you’re building right now, it’s a great time to buy parts across basically every budget tier.
