About This Video

This video is my Intel 10th gen budget build that might honestly be the cheapest 10th gen PC configuration you can put together right now. I’m using the Core i3-10100F and an MSI H510I board, and all the parts (not counting the GPU) come out to around $480. The whole point here is value and upgrade path: if you already own a mid-range GPU, you can drop it in today and still have a clear path to upgrade later since the H510I supports Intel 10th and 11th gen CPUs. Even at this price, I wouldn’t call it bare bones. You’re getting 4 cores / 8 threads, up to 4.3GHz turbo, 16GB of 3200MHz RAM, and a 500GB M.2 SSD. For cooling, I used an ID-COOLING Frostflow 240 AIO (and yeah, I had some AIO mounting noise issues at first), all inside my Cooler Master Q300L that I’ve used before because it’s got solid airflow and cable management for the money. I tested gaming with my GTX 1650 and the performance is right up there with my Ryzen 5 1600 system in a lot of real-world use—especially in esports titles—plus I ran basic benchmarks to show where the i3 wins (single-core) and where it loses (multi-core).
