About This Video

When people think mini-ITX gaming builds, they usually think “premium” and “expensive”—especially when it comes to the motherboard, case, and cooler. In this video I take a look at the MSI H510i, an Intel mini-ITX board that’s trying to break that stereotype by coming in around $130. It supports both 10th and 11th gen Intel CPUs, and I specifically call out the i5-11400 as arguably the best gaming CPU out there that this board can run. I go over the specs and the surprisingly “nice-to-have” features you don’t always get on a bare-bones budget board, like an M.2 slot plus onboard Wi‑Fi/Bluetooth. For rear I/O you’re getting four USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, and audio. Internally you’ve got four SATA ports, three fan headers, one PCIe slot, and two RAM slots (up to 64GB total) with a 3200MHz cap. Then I hit the downsides: the aesthetic won’t be for everyone, the port selection isn’t the widest, and cooler compatibility is always something to double-check on ITX. That said, MSI shaped the VRM heatsinks well enough that my AIO fit with basically no issues. Overall, for $130, I don’t think there’s another ITX board that matches this build quality while supporting 10th/11th gen Intel.
