About This Video

In this video on Hardwired Review, I wanted to see how low the price can go on an AIO liquid cooler before the quality falls off a cliff. So I picked up the ID-COOLING Frostflow 240 (a 240mm/248mm-class AIO) that’s sitting around $55 on Amazon and put it through what actually matters: build quality checks, features, and real-world cooling. I also talk about the included PWM fans (up to 1800 RPM) and why they’re definitely not the quietest, plus the one thing that’ll annoy some people—the LEDs on the fans/pump can’t be turned off. On the hardware side, the radiator and pump looked solid for the money, and I call out the most important part on any cheap AIO: don’t put crazy strain on the hose connections just because it “seems fine.” Feature-wise, it surprised me with extras like included thermal paste and a fan splitter, which is great if you’re short on headers. Performance is the kicker: I saw ~29°C idle, ~35–37°C gaming, and ~45–50°C in a CPU stress test, which is honestly impressive at this price. Compared to my EK 240mm (around $80), it’s slightly warmer, but not by enough to justify the price gap for a lot of budget builds.
