Thank you for joining me and Ted on today’s special adventure. In this episode I take a prototype 2‑storey tent deep into the rainforest and do a full setup test before I bring it out in proper rain. The design honestly blew my mind—no tools, no screws, and the whole second-storey platform tightens up with a simple peg. Once it’s up, you really feel how gigantic it is (I’m 193cm and I still can’t reach the ceiling), and I love that the windows have different options, including a transparent panel for a cosy time listening to the rain. After the build, I move the platform inside and secure it, add the inner tent for insect protection, and then I just enjoy the view from upstairs. It can even carry me in a hammock, so I can chill downstairs too, and yes… I tried parking the car into the “garage” for a laugh. I also tested a new string light (nice, but around 2–3 hours of runtime), cooked Korean BBQ over the campfire, and made sure Ted got his meal kit from Kelly (Spicy Hippo). We wrapped up with a super comfy night, creek wash and coffee in the morning, then packed up—this was a test trip, and I’m really excited to take this amazing tent out in the rain next.
