Thank you for joining us today in beautiful, cold Norway. In this episode I’m staying in one of the coziest treehouses I’ve ever seen—snow-covered pine trees, total silence, birds and squirrels everywhere, and windows with incredible views in every direction. First thing I did was get the fireplace going to heat up the hut, then I explored the inside: yes, there’s even a bathroom with a shower and heated water, which is honestly very handy in winter. Upstairs we had two big cozy beds and so many spots to just sit down and soak it all in. But you know me… even when it’s cold outside, I still want that outdoor cozy setup. I promised Kelly I can make it warm and comfortable, so challenge accepted—everything was covered in snow and ice, but we cleaned up the chairs, got a proper fire going, and made it inviting with blankets. Kelly (Spicy Hippo) took over the food and we grilled sausages, potatoes, and traditional Norwegian medisterkaker right in the middle of wildlife. Later she cooked “fiskesuppe med laks” (Norwegian creamy salmon soup), we played games, tried Norwegian snacks and a Christmas drink, and the next morning I fed the birds and made coffee and breakfast before we even went out for a surprise adventure.
