Welcome to another adventure with Ted and me :) In this episode I head deep into a rainforest campsite to try something a bit different—solo camping with my dog, plus a surprise visitor: Clyde the resident horse (and yes… he loves carrots). I’ve been dealing with sciatic pain for a while, so this trip is all about taking it slow: setting up a huge 2-level inflatable tent, relaxing in the hammock, listening to the rain-forest vibes, and letting the natural sounds do the talking. Before I build camp, I set up solar on my roof and properly test it in real conditions—gloomy winter clouds and partial shade. That’s where the Renogy ShadowFlux panel impressed me: even with shade it kept charging, and when I angled it right in winter sun it pushed around 193W, which is really solid. After that it’s simple camp comfort—campfire warmth, layering up as the temperature drops, and a proper dinner: fajitas… with kimchi (yeah, I did it). Morning is coffee, more solar testing, breakfast carrots for Clyde, and then we say goodbye. Pure cozy camping, good food, and calm ASMR nature sounds.
