About This Video

In this episode I travelled all the way from Australia to England to finally experience British camping in a very unique camper van — basically a cabin on wheels. I arrived late, went straight to bed, then woke up to that classic gloomy, wet UK weather: rain on and off. And honestly, that’s what makes staying in an already cosy van even cosier. I made coffee, watched the rain through the window (mission aborted on opening the back door), and put together an “as English as possible” breakfast… beans were missing though. Later I tried setting up a tarp for an outdoor area so I could enjoy a campfire, but it wouldn’t hold on the van body — it held on the windows, so I relocated to the other side. I also tried an English Red Ale for the first time and was surprised how much I liked it. When it got cold, I fired up the van’s wood-burning fireplace (yes, inside the van), then attempted Shepherd’s Pie for the first time without all the ingredients. It might not look like Shepherd’s Pie, so I named it “Eugen’s Pie” — and it was super delicious. Next morning was misty, moody, and perfect, and I wrapped up an awesome stay at Forest Edge in Devon before heading to the next UK campsite.
