In this video I’m sharing our 8th grade homeschool curriculum picks for the 2025–2026 school year, and I’ll be honest—I’m really feeling that “middle school to high school” shift. This is the year we start leaning into high school level courses so my student is prepared if dual enrollment ends up being part of the plan. I walk you through what I’m choosing for each subject, why it made my list, and how it fits into our real-life routines and planning systems. I cover our Morning Meeting read aloud and devotional choices, plus logic, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and a solid math plan using Saxon paired with Nicole the Math Lady. For content areas, I’m using McGraw Hill for world geography, Apologia for physical science, and I’m also adding in book study and electives like U.S. Constitution and Government and a financial stewardship course. My goal is a year that feels structured and intentional—but still doable—so we can build skills, keep momentum, and set a strong foundation for high school.
