February is a time when I begin to reflect on how the year is going and begin looking at the curriculum we are using and how it is working for our family. In today's video, I will be sharing my thoughts and reflections on the new curriculum I introduced into my homeschool this year. We definitely had some hits and some misses with some of our curriculum this year. I also like to have take this time to review how the homeschool year is going in hopes that it will help me in choosing curriculum for next year. If you are looking at using some of these resources, this may be helpful for you to get an insight into how it works in its application. Please make sure to share in the comments below your thoughts on the curriculum I have shared. About This Video

February is when I naturally start doing that mid-year “okay, what’s actually working?” check-in, and in this video I walk you through my 2025–2026 homeschool curriculum reviews—both the hits and the misses. I share what I added new this year, how it’s played out in real life (not just on paper), and why I like doing a mid-year review before I start planning next year. If you’re in that same spot—tweaking schedules, swapping resources, or wondering if you should push through—this is exactly the kind of honest reflection I rely on. I cover curriculum wins like Navigating Friendships from Not Consumed, several The Good and the Beautiful resources (Energy unit and History 1), Apologia science, logic picks like The Fallacy Detective and Intro to Logic, Saxon Algebra 1/2, Financial Stewardship from Campfire Curriculums, and my literature/writing courses from Redefining School. I also share the programs that were misses for us this year—Spanish 1 from Homeschool Languages and World Religion and Cults—because sometimes knowing what didn’t fit is just as helpful. My goal is to give you a clear picture of how these resources function in application so you can make confident choices for your own homeschool.
