It’s been a while since I did a proper van tour, and I’ve changed a lot in the last year—so in this video I take you through my self-converted Toyota Hiace (Super Long Wheelbase) that I’ve lived in full-time for four years. I start up front with the vehicle details (she’s gone from 66,000km to 207,771km with me) and why I’m a Toyota person: they go forever. Then I walk you through the practical little tweaks that make daily van life easier for me—like the storage shelf behind my seat (with the very real reminder that loose items become projectiles), and the magnetic fly screens that make a massive difference when I’m camped up.
