While I slept inside my van I was woken by glass smashing and loud bangs as my van was vandalized. I've been doing van life in Australia for over 3.5 years and this is the first time this has happened. I was in a location that I wasn't overly concerned for my own safety, more the safety of my van. It wasn't just an accident because after the first incident they came back for more, I'm pretty sure it was kids on bikes looking for some entertainment in the form of traumatising me and vadalising my van. I was wanting to spend more time in remote locations this year, so this has pushed me to take that step.
