Today I’m exploring Little Crystal Creek in Paluma Range National Park, about an hour north of Townsville in North Queensland. This hidden swimming hole is famous for its crystal-clear water, historic stone arch bridge built in the 1930s, and peaceful rainforest setting. Little Crystal Creek is one of the most beautiful freshwater swimming spots in Queensland, and I couldn’t resist going for a swim — even in the rain. The water here is unbelievably clear, with smooth granite rocks and cascading falls that make it feel like a true hidden paradise. After my swim, I stumble across the most beautiful little fruit stall and meet the owners, who share their incredible story of supporting children through Crisis Care. It’s moments like this that make van life in Australia so special.
