Easy DIY Guide Replacing My Gas Struts | Van Life Repairs | Toyota Hiace

Today we are doing an easy DIY replacing the gas struts on my Toyota Hiace Commuter SLWB (2012), I love doing van life repairs because I get to learn something new each time an issue arises! As I was travelling back across Australia my passenger side strut on the back door stopped working, it was so heavy to open and wouldn't lift up anymore. I tried going to Bunnings and Repco but they didn't have any struts to suit, so I spoke to a Toyota dealer in South Australia, but they were going to charge $450 per strut, and that was just for the part! So I waited until I got home to WA, then ordered both stuts online from Gas Strut Guys and it only cost me $123.20 (for both) including shipping.
