For the past 3 years I’ve been on a 4K 144Hz IPS monitor, and I finally got hyped enough about OLED to upgrade—because my monitor has to do both: casual gaming and real productivity. I’m editing video and photos all the time, so I wanted something color accurate (10-bit), high refresh rate, and actually enjoyable to look at for long sessions. After a bunch of research, I landed on the LG UltraGear 32GS95UV-W: a 32-inch 4K OLED that can run 4K at 240Hz, plus a Dual Mode that switches to 1080p at 480Hz with a button press. In this video I go over the design (minimal, clean, not screaming “gaming”), the stand adjustments, and why I still prefer using a monitor arm for a cleaner setup. I also talk about the real bezel thickness (don’t get fooled by marketing photos), ports, brightness, and the built-in 7W speakers. Most importantly, I share my first impressions going from IPS to OLED—deeper blacks, more vibrant color, sharper-looking 4K—and why I feel 32 inches is the sweet spot for 4K, especially for editing. I also cover practical tips like checking your settings out of the box (resolution/refresh rate), running monitor tests, and using the UFO test. Overall, I bought this mainly for the 4K OLED experience and 240Hz, and now my only problem is finding a GPU that can actually push 200 FPS at 4K.
