From camera performance and battery life to gaming, productivity, and overall durability, this is my honest review of the iPhone 17 Pro Max and whether it’s actually worth upgrading in 2026. As someone who creates short-form and long-form content regularly, I put this phone through real tests: filming reels, shooting YouTube videos, editing on the go, and using it for everyday tasks. Apple continues to refine its flagship lineup, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max brings noticeable improvements in performance, display quality, and pro-level camera features. But is it enough to justify the price? And is it better than previous Pro models? If you're considering upgrading from an older iPhone or deciding between the Pro and Pro Max models, this video will help you decide. About This Video

In this part of my iPhone 17 Pro Max experience, I’m getting real about what it’s like daily-driving this thing as someone who’s been on Android for a long time. There’s a lot I genuinely love—camera performance is solid, the UI is simple, the chip feels snappy and fast, and the battery life has been amazing for my workflow. This is why it’s a flagship, and I can feel the value in the areas that matter when you’re creating and moving fast. But it’s also been a love-and-hate situation because some small stuff adds up and straight up ticks me off. The keyboard layout is annoying (why do I have to jump into the numbers page just to type a period?), and the behavior is weirdly inconsistent—sometimes the period shows up in Chrome, sometimes it doesn’t, and even minimizing the keyboard turns into a swipe-guessing game. The swipe-to-go-back inconsistency is another one, and while I’ve grown to like Face ID, I still wish Apple would integrate fingerprint unlock because when Face ID fails, the delay and animations make it feel even more annoying. And then there’s the price: starting around $1,200, this is not a cheap phone. My advice is simple—hold your wallets unless you’re upgrading from two or three generations back. If you’re eyeing it purely for aesthetics, I’d honestly recommend the previous generation because you’re not missing a lot.
