The whole goal is to get that clean, “natural marble” look without ending up with a nasty clump of undissolved dye at the base. The biggest key is going insanely light on dye—literally micro-drops—then using the inertia from the wax stream (I use a piston funnel) to push and disperse the dye into those patterns. I also break down how I make my melts hit hard and last: I typically run 32 oz wax with about 12% fragrance (3.8 oz), only going up to ~15% on unusually weak scents. I talk about why wax melts are more foolproof than candles (no combustion, no wicking headaches), and I explain the simple “chemistry geek” reason melts throw: it’s a physical change—fragrance molecules going from being bound in wax to being suspended in the air.
