About This Video

Welcome back to the Drone Camps channel. In this video I’m checking out something pretty weird—but actually really cool—from AstroRC: the CarbonFly 80. It’s a micro brushless 2S freestyle/indoor quad that comes in analog or DJI (Lite) versions, and I’ve got the analog one here. With 1102 motors (my sweet spot for getting outside and ripping), a suspended/dampened front camera mount, built-in beeper, and a top-mount battery tray that fits up to about a 2S 720–750mAh, it’s basically a “toothpick with prop guards”… but with a totally left-field design. I ran a special extra-soft “Drone Camps indoor tune” so you can slow it way down and creep through tight gaps inside the house—chandelier stuff, stools, tables, the whole deal. Then I talk bench details: it’s under 100g AUW even with bigger packs, uses an F405 AIO (12A ESCs), micro-USB, push-on props, and a unique rear PCB setup with dual antennas, capacitor, LEDs, and that full-size beeper. The big takeaway: it’s durable, quiet, tuned well, and flexible—slow indoor flying when the weather’s trash, or a backyard ripper when you want to freestyle.
