In this video I’m checking out the official release of the BetaFPV Air65 II (Air652) and putting it through a real review + flight test. Last year the Air65 was basically “Whoop of the Year,” and BetaFPV is back with three versions this time: Champion, Racing, and Freestyle (the one I’m flying here). You’re getting the updated 65mm V2 frame (a little over 2 grams), a brand new canopy, redesigned lighter Gemfan props, and the updated Matrix 5-in-1 V2 flight controller with built-in ELRS 2.4. The big headline for me is the ESC upgrade: 12A on a 1S whoop with burst up to 18A. That’s wild, and it should help avoid ESC brownouts from heat. BetaFPV also made a smart durability change on the FC by removing the front grommet area so there’s a few millimeters of space—meaning less direct impact to the board when you crash. I also show the HexaCharger Pro, a USB-C powered 6-in-1 charger that handles BT2.0 and PH2.0, does LiPo/LiHV, and even storage charge. Bottom line: BetaFPV took what the community already loved and made it “Mo’ Betta,” without making this hobby cost a fortune.
