About This Video

What’s up, my friend? In this video I’m reviewing HDZero’s new gamepad-style ELRS radio (the HDZ7000) and comparing it to two of the most popular budget “gamer” radios: the RadioMaster T8L and the BetaFPV LiteRadio 4. I waited a few days to post this because I’m honestly not a fan of those exact-time release dates that flood YouTube with the same review 10 times. I wanted to bring you the real differences that actually matter if you’re shopping in that $35–$55 range. The big takeaway is simple: for about $10 more than the “cheapest” option once you add batteries, the HDZero radio gives you way more. You get a built-in 1S 4000mAh battery (I’m seeing up to 10 hours at low power), an OLED screen, and a dedicated ELRS menu button so you can change packet rate, TX power, telemetry ratio, bind mode, and more without needing a computer. It also pushes up to 250mW (vs 100mW on the others), and I like the longer, more full-size-feeling sticks because you get a more natural throw for FPV. Bottom line: I give it two thumbs up. It’s beginner-friendly, but it’s also a legit “for the people” radio that experienced pilots will appreciate as a main or a $55 backup.
