This is not a hobby drone. It’s a military-focused platform built for armed overwatch, with SIG bringing the weapons expertise to the table—specifically a lightweight machine gun integrated into the drone and remotely controlled with stabilization so it can fire while hovering or moving. What really sets the Firestorm apart is endurance. Instead of being limited by batteries like most quadcopters we see, it’s using a small internal combustion engine, which gives it the potential to stay airborne for hours, not minutes. The idea here is persistence: hover over an area, provide surveillance, and if needed, deliver precision fire without putting soldiers at risk. It’s also designed for advanced sensors like standard cameras and thermal imaging for day or night operation.
