About This Video

What’s up, my friend? In this video I took the Eachine E188 “Airwolf” heli out to the field (had the whole place to myself) and did a full review and flight test, both line-of-sight and FPV. This is the simpler, no-GPS version, and that’s honestly part of the appeal—super easy to operate with just a few modes, a nice stable hover when the optical flow/LiDAR mode is on, and a really satisfying auto-land that brings those rotors down to a stop. I also show you the onboard battery LEDs so you can quickly tell how much juice you’ve got left. The twist is I strapped on the BetaFPV P1 HD FPV system (that cheap $36 setup) with the camera mounted on the side like a little cockpit view, and I flew it on the BetaFPV VR04 HD goggles. I’ll show you what it’s like cruising FPV low over the grass, switching into manual to get above the geofence height, and kicking it into high rate to pick up speed. It’s smooth and fun, but it’s not super aggressive—so you’ve got to anticipate turns, avoid windy days, and understand it can lose altitude quick if you whip it around too hard. If you’ve ever wanted “scale FPV” on a heli without spending DJI money, this was epic fun.
