In this video I’m out testing the Rekon 35 V2 (2S 18650 analog long range) and seeing what kind of real flight time you can get on dirt-cheap 18650 cells—including those budget Amazon packs and the NewBeeDrone Nitro Nectar 3000mAh cells. On a perfect no-wind day in a big open field, I cruised this quad and pulled a solid 17 minutes on a set that wasn’t even fully charged, and I’ll explain why I think 20+ minutes is absolutely possible with the right setup and expectations. I also walk you through the stuff that matters with Li-ion: voltage sag under load, why you need average cell voltage on your OSD, and where the “danger zone” really is (don’t hang out below about 2.6V resting). I show you why your low battery warning is wrong out of the box for Li-ion and what to change in Betaflight (drop that warning to around 3.0V). Then I do a bench overview: GPS up front for return-to-home, the finicky power button, the hidden USB-C for Betaflight, in-drone USB-C charging (PD 3.0 helps), and the quiet Gemfan 3630 tri-blades on 1404 5500KV motors. This is a budget long-range cruiser that’s honestly a pretty different animal—in a good way.
