About This Video

If you’re like me, you’ve probably been using a basic pitcher filter (I’ve been on the Brita life for years) and just dealing with it. In this video I test the Simpure Y7P countertop water filter, and honestly—it changed the game for me. It’s a two-step filtering setup: it filters inside the machine first, and then the water filters again through a filter that sits on top of the included glass pitcher. I walk through the unboxing and setup (it’s basically plug it in, remove the sticker from the filter, place it on the pitcher, and add the drip tray). Then I test the different dispense modes—12 oz, 18 oz, and 36 oz—and time them. Water started pouring after just over 25 seconds, and I got about 1:30 for 12 oz, around 2:20 for 18 oz, and roughly 5–5.5 minutes for 36 oz. After that, I compared it to tap water visually and with a taste test. The Simpure looked less cloudy and tasted noticeably cleaner—better than tap and better than my Brita—so if you’re trying to level up your purified water setup, I’d recommend checking it out.
