The Simpure Y7P is a countertop water filter I tested as an upgrade from my usual Brita pitcher. It’s ridiculously easy to operate—pick your water amount and it does the rest—and the taste was noticeably cleaner than both tap water and my Brita, which is why I’d recommend it if you want to level up your purified water setup.
Pros
- +Very simple setup and operation (plug in and press a button)
- +Multiple dispense amounts (12/16/36 oz settings on the unit I tested)
- +Water started pouring after just over 25 seconds
- +Cleaner taste than tap water and better than my Brita in my taste test
- +Water looked less cloudy than tap water in a side-by-side comparison
Cons
- -Not the fastest filter overall (36 oz took about 5–5.5 minutes)
- -Takes a couple minutes for mid-size servings (around 2:20 for 18 oz)
