About This Video

In this stream I’m basically stress-testing my “big boy” MPC workflow against the way I’ve been forcing myself to work on the MPC Sample. And I’ll keep it real: producing on the MPC Sample is like producing with weights. When I jump back to the full MPC, everything feels easier and I’m instantly stronger because I had to simplify, commit, and stop reaching for the easy button. I build a beat mostly from samples and internal sounds, messing with warp, filters, and arrangement while I hunt for a clean, simple bass (I’m not chasing that trap bass—just give me a sine wave, give me my “dilly bass”). A big takeaway is mindset: I’ve been trying to go pre-plugin on purpose because that “throw plugins on everything” habit is straight up my FL Studio brain talking. But the truth is, people aren’t always looking for the “best” sounds—they’re looking for a feeling. If the beat makes somebody feel right, it’s tight. I also talk real-life workflow stuff—saving often, file structure, and storage/drive trust issues—plus taking breaks after big challenges (like my 100 beat challenge) and giving yourself grace while you learn your gear.
