About This Video

In this video I break down what I learned from making 100 beats for 100 days, and I’m not talking about some magical “inspiration” story. I’m talking about learning how to make beats when I don’t feel like it—when I’m tired, when life is lifeing, when I’d rather play Tekken, watch anime, or crash after work. The challenge forced me to lock in anyway, even if that meant getting up late at night and making a beat at 1–2 AM. The biggest lesson: if you rely on inspiration too much, it can be detrimental to your career and your creativity. You have to build the mentality to show up. I also learned that consistency in one area can spill into the rest of your life—cleaning, meal prep, weight loss, whatever. And real talk: I almost quit around beat 23 because nobody was coming to the live streams, but I pushed through, and that’s where the growth was. Doing this every day reduced my need for affirmations, likes, and comments, and it helped me care less about internet weirdos saying whatever they want (including calling my beats “AI” when I literally streamed the whole process). On top of that, the challenge showed me what styles I naturally gravitate toward (trap/R&B/’90s vibes) and what I still need to study. And now I’ve got a catalog of 100 tracks I can actually pitch instead of holding my beats tight like toast.
