In this stream I knocked out beat 78 and beat 79 of my #100beatchallenge, and I leaned into straight-up R&B vibes. I’m building these joints fast on the MPC Key 61—catching a groove, saving the loop package, and keeping it moving. I’m not trying to overthink it on camera either. When the pocket is right, it’s right… and I’m just flowing. We also talked a little shop while I was cooking: gear questions, what I do (and don’t) do live, and the reality of the internet being the internet. Somebody even tried to say I’m “using AI all the time,” and I’m like… nah, I’m literally prompting the system by playing the keys. Later in the stream I did mess around with an AI voice plugin idea for tags—just experimenting, having fun, and keeping it pushing. Big takeaway: lock in the chord movement, find that groove, save your work, and stack progress. We’re at 79 now—21 left—and I’m thinking about doing a marathon stream to finish strong.
