The whole idea is simple but super musical: it’s emulating two analog tape heads playing against each other, and when one is running a little faster or slower than the other you get that chorusing/doubling “course” effect. I run my vocal dry first, then I drop the plugin on and you can immediately hear the movement—especially once you start thinking about how the source and the doubled signal interact. I also show you how I like to set it up for stereo. The doubling itself isn’t magically “two stereo tracks”—it’s still a mono double, so the width really comes from how you blend and pan the source versus the double (I’ll often go like 75% left/right). Then we get into the main controls: that middle wheel for speed variation, the automatic modulation with head position/monitor, and the Range setting (I keep coming back to a range of 3). I prefer the sine shape for a smooth vibe, and I keep it subtle. I also demo the Drive for a little crunch/harmonic distortion, and I warn you about pushing it too far—because you can land in phase issues, which is why the plugin gives you phase invert options.
