This isn’t me trying to scare you off—it’s just the stuff that matters if you’re serious about making music and not getting yourself into a weird situation later. I’m basically giving you a summarized version of their terms of service, because a lot of people skip that part and then act surprised. First, don’t upload anything you don’t own. If you’re throwing in somebody else’s lyrics, samples, or popular song lyrics you “know and love,” that’s on you if you don’t have permission. Second, understand that Suno can store what you upload and what it generates for you, and they can use it to share and improve/train their AI—no extra money to you. Third, if you want to make money with Suno (Spotify releases, commercial use), you need a paid plan—free/basic is personal use and you must credit Suno. I also talk about remixes: if someone remixes your song, you’re sharing ownership 50/50, and those remixes are non-commercial unless Suno says otherwise. And lastly, they can delete your stuff or ban your account, refunds aren’t guaranteed, and subscriptions can auto-renew—so back up your work and cancel early if needed. Overall, it’s an interesting tool, and I’m still learning it, but you should know the rules.
