Do we have a future as web developers? Will companies like squarespace and wix or shopify eventually kill our career? Will be have a job in the future or will website creation be taken over by people who don't require any technical skill? In this video I discuss a question that I have been asked many times. Web development is a career that can be divided into many markets, and these markets don't tend to overlap as much as you might think. The career of a web developer is very future proof, and we need to understand the major difference between static websites and web applications. Yes - online tools like squarespace, wix and shopify do take away some of our job opportunities that we had before, but as technology got better over time, we got introduced into more complex technology that can't be automated.
