About This Video

If you’ve ever opened LinkedIn jobs and felt instantly defeated because every listing already has 100+ (or 1,000+) applicants, this video is for you. The problem usually isn’t that you’re not unique—it’s that recruiters and hiring teams move fast. They don’t have time to deeply review application #947, so your best edge is simple: be one of the first people they see. In the video, I show a small “developer trick” using LinkedIn’s own URL parameters. Even if you filter by “past 24 hours,” you’ll still see roles with huge applicant counts. The key is the URL parameter that represents the time window in seconds (24 hours = 86,400 seconds). I change that value to something like 720 seconds (2 hours), reload the results, and suddenly you’re looking at jobs posted minutes ago—often with 0–2 applicants. That’s how you get ahead of the competition and increase the chance that an actual human spends real attention on your resume.
