About This Video

If you want to be a great developer in 2025, you can’t just “code harder” — you need tools that streamline your workflow, boost productivity, and save you time. In this video I break down my top 5 daily tools I use for working smarter and faster, and I show exactly why each one earned a permanent spot in my arsenal. First up is Warp.dev, a modern terminal that genuinely reimagines the command line. I love the in-line editing (pasting a command and just editing the API key like normal text is so needed), the smart history + autosuggestions, customization, and especially the AI that can spot what’s missing and predict the next step in a multi-step flow (like telling me to install Express before running my server). Then there’s Notion + Notion AI — my second brain. It’s how I plan and organize everything, and the AI helps me generate outlines, polish messy notes, and even translate code (yes, I used Erlang as an example because I’m a JavaScript guy). For rapid UI prototyping I use TailwindCSS because once you know the classes, you can build modern, clean interfaces ridiculously fast. Excalidraw is my go-to for visualizing what’s in my head with simple hand-drawn diagrams (plus collaboration). And finally: Postman FTW — if you work with APIs (so… basically every web project), it’s the easiest way to test endpoints, inspect responses, and understand errors quickly.
