Startup is an easy word to say, but it’s a very difficult business to execute—especially solo. In this video I break down the big truth that you don’t have to know everything to start. The whole journey is you learning as you go. I didn’t know everything when I started, and my community (plus sharing my progress publicly) helped me spot better solutions, rethink decisions, and improve faster. If you’re going solo, you need to understand the commitment and responsibility you’re taking on, because you become every role at once: designer, programmer, marketer, sales, finance—and your own manager. I walk through the key stages: starting with the idea (it’s fine to build something that already exists, as long as you can do it better), then moving into design with a mock-up (I recommend Figma, and yes, your mock-up will change). After that we get into sales and recurring subscriptions, payment flexibility, and why managing revenue streams gets complicated fast—this is where tools like ChartMogul help. Then I share my marketing theory: good marketing creates “I need this,” not “this is cool.” The fastest way to do that is examples—show how it works, why it’s better, and how it integrates.
