I’m have difficulty as expected with my skin healing then I get itchy from the healing process that I further damage the skin barrier. It is by far hard to not itch various areas when it has cream or Vaseline on the areas. The journey will take some time and at my fault will take longer. I am trying to do this without prescription medication and steroids. Wish me luck and suggest remedies or something to protect the skin barrier. About This Video

In this video I’m giving a real-time skin update because my skin has been doing that ā€œreptilian / sand paperā€ thing where it feels dry, raw, and itchy while it’s trying to heal. The hard part is the healing itch—because once I scratch, I end up damaging my skin barrier even more. I had a couple pimples (forehead and cheek) that were still developing, and honestly I wanted them to fall out on their own… but I had a little scratch session and one turned into a scar situation. My chest was also feeling goosebumpy and raw from scratching, so this is basically what you’ll keep seeing as I document this dry skin journey. I also shared some little life moments (movies, a beautiful full moon, and getting ready for a fiesta birthday party where I felt very bonita). I did use multiple hair products and even hairspray to seal everything in, but this one is mainly about skin right now. I picked up a few items from Ross—like Aztec clay, a retinol body cream (not using that for a long while), and an essence I heard is good for redness and eczema. I’m trying to do this without prescriptions or steroids, so if you have barrier-protecting remedies, I’m listening. As always—embrace joy.
